Pacer Athletics

Pacer athletics is integral to the educational mission of William Peace University. WPU is an NCAA Division III institution and is a member of the USA South Athletic Conference. WPU and its conference partners have approved league play for all sports during the Fall 2021semester. WPU remains committed to providing a quality athletic experience for our student-athletes and coaches. We will be creative in our approach and will always keep the health and safety of our student-athletes at the forefront of any decision before, during and after competition.

The athletic department is coming off a very successful Spring 2021 semester. Every team was able to compete and four of our teams qualified for Divisional Championship contests in the USA South Athletic Conference. The Pacers will continue to build upon that success when we return for the Fall 2021 semester. The athletic department will continue to follow NCAA COVID safety guidelines as it pertains to testing. In addition, WPU expects vaccination guidelines from the NCAA in June. We strongly encourage all of our student -athletes to become vaccinated prior to the start of the school year. We anticipate the June NCAA guidance will reduce testing and quarantine requirements for vaccinated individuals.

The William Peace Pacers are excited about the opportunity to have a full schedule during the traditional sports seasons as it competes for USA South championships and NCAA tournament opportunities. Athletes are passionate about their sports and have worked hard in order to return to play. WPU is committed to providing a safe-as-possible environment for which to meet our student-athletes strong desire to compete. WPU will remain vigilant and flexible as we approach each contest. Athletes can expect future communication from the WPU Athletic Training Department and their respective coaches. In the meantime, please feel free to contact the athletic department by emailing coaches, or the athletic director at tocurle@peace.edu.
